Several shops in the Apongbon area of Lagos state have been destroyed as fire gutted the area on Wednesday morning.
It is unclear yet what led to the fire, but the report has it that the fire affected the bridge.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Agency (LASTMA) via its official Twitter handle said, “Traffic from Eko bridge has been re-routed to Ebute-Ero to link inner marina. The men of the fire service and other security agencies are still on the ground.
“Therefore, CMS bridge and Eko bridge inward/outward Apongbon is close to traffic at the moment,”
