Following a medical condition, Patience Umo Eno, the first lady of Akwa Ibom state, passed away.
The state commissioner for information, Ini Ememobong, made the announcement of the first lady’s demise in an early Friday morning statement.
According to the commissioner, the first lady passed away on Thursday in front of herfamily at a hospital.
In due course, he stated, “more details will be provided,” and he thanked Governor Umo Eno and everyone who “stood by the family in this period.”
We regret to inform you of the illness that befell Her Excellency Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, the wife of the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State.
In the company of her family, she departed quietly on September 26, 2024, at the hospital, according to the statement.
“The family asks for the prayers and support of kind hearted people during this trying time, and they bow to the will of the Almighty. The family will provide more information as needed.
The family respectfully asks for privacy during this time of loss for their mother, grandma, and dear wife.
“His Excellency, the Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, thanks everyone who has supported the first family during this difficult time and assures all the people that his dedication to serving the state remains unwavering despite this significant personal loss.”
