Former Ondo State Governor, Bamidele Olumilua Dies At 80

Former governor of old Ondo State, Bamidele Olumilua, has died at the age of 80, Olumilua died in his Ikere-Ekiti residence in early hours of  Thursday after a brief illness, his eldest son, Muyiwa Olumilua, who is Ekiti Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation, said in a statement.

According to reports, the former governor died after a brief illness. He was governor of the old Ondo State during the Third Republic between January 1992 and November 1993 on the platform of the Social Democratic Party. His son, Muyiwa Olumilua, who is the Ekiti State Commissioner for Information, confirmed his father’s demise in a telephone chat.
