Former Super Eagles Players Finidi George, Amuneke react to Victor Osimhen’s transfer to Napoli

The former Nigerian Super Eagles players Finidi George, Emmanuel Amuneke and Sam Sodje  have expressed their delight with the transfer of the 21-year-old Victor Osimhen from Lille to Napoli.  the Serie A club

The Super Eagles striker completed a €50 million transfer to the Serie A  in July 2020, making him the most expensive player in history.  

Osimhen’s superb performances in just concluded season earned him 8 goals and providing six assists in 38 appearances across all competitions during his one-year stay with the French side.

  Finidi George believes he will not struggle in Napoli because he is very talented.

”I think it is a ground breaking move for him and I see him moving forward,” Sam Sodje.

Osimhen broke into the limelight at the 2015 U17 World Cup in Chile under the coaching guidance of Emmanuel Amuneke where he won silver boat.


“My advice to Osimhen is to be calm and focused,” Emmanuel Amuneke
