At the Igangan area in Ibarapa North West Local Government area of Oyo State, on Friday at about 5:50pm four unknown gunmen killed a Politician identified as Alhaji Fatai Aborode.
According to reports, the Politician was in Igangan to inspect his farm when the incident occurred, he was shot when he was leaving the farm with his manager.
After he was shot, he was rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed dead.
SP Olugbenga Fadeyi, the State’s Police public relations officer confirming the incident said the deceased was rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed dead.
Aborode was a House of Representatives candidate under the platform of Accord Party in the 2015 general election.
He was also the Chief Executive Officer of Kunfayakun Green Treasure Limited.
