Imo Council Chairman’s Home Has Been Set On Fire By Unknown Gunmen

On Sunday, June 6, Willy Egbo, council chairman of Owerri west Local Government Area, Imo State’s home has reportedly been set on fire by unknown gunmen.

According to reports, the gunmen struck at about 1am, shooting sporadically at that hour and sending most of the villagers scampering for safety inside nearby bushes.

After setting the house of Imo State Commissioner for Information Declan Emelumba on fire, they reportedly proceeded to the council chairman’s house, Honourable Willy Egbo at Nnepi and also razed the building.
