Gbenga Kolawole, 32, has been arrested by police in Ogun state for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl.
According to a statement released by SP Omolola Odutola, the command’s spokesperson, an aggrieved mother went to the police to report that her 16-year-old daughter was taken to a nearby bar shop and locked there, where the suspect allegedly had unlawful carnal knowledge of the drunk girl on November 6, 2023, in Adubi Ogun State.
Odutola, on the other hand, said he was caught in the act by one Sunday Ibrahim “m” of the same address.
According to a police spokeswoman, the victim was transferred to Ore Ofe Hospital for medical attention and treatment, and the suspect was arrested for preliminary inquiry.
Separately, the Divisional Police Officer in Sango successfully recovered a blue Toyota RAV4 SUV with registration number MUS 580 JA for one Elogie Polycap “m,” who stated that his automobile was stolen from a car park in Gbagada by unknown thieves.
The Divisional Police Officer used intelligence-based policing to apprehend Alao James “m” aged 55, at his hiding place in Ilo Ota in connection with the incident.
Odutola stated that all exhibits will be turned over to the Gbagada Police Station, where the case began.
