The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has extended its strike for eight weeks.
On Sunday, evening the decision was taken by ASUU executives following a meeting which was held at the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA).
This announcement follows the one-month warning strike which expired today Monday, 14, March 2022.
According to the reports, an ASUU official, Professor Abdulkadir Muhammad Danbazau, with ASUU, said the decision is to enable the union and the federal government to reach an agreement so as to avoid striking any firm of a strike in the future.
According to him, two months is enough for the federal government to do the right thing.
