JUST IN – FAAN denies issuing an airport ban on ‘Ghana Must Go’ bags.

Travel bags, also referred to as Ghana Must Go, are not permitted to be used at Nigerian airports, according to the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).

Those passing through the nation’s international airports are specifically subject to the rule.

According to media reports, the Ghana Must Go sac, which is available in various colors and sizes, is a well-liked load carriage bag in Nigeria.

It is one of the more reasonably priced bags on sale, and many people use it to pack light to heavy luggage.

According to FAAN, airlines have suffered significant losses due to the use of Ghana Must Go sacs for baggage packing, which has also harmed the conveyor belt system.

This was mentioned in a November 24 circular signed by Henok Gizachew, Manager of Airport Services, and titled “Re: Prohibition of Usage of Ghana Must Go.”

Airlines that use the nation’s international airports have been informed of the circular, and the airlines have informed their passengers and travel partners accordingly.

“Please be informed that effective November 25, 2023, the usage of Ghana Must Go to travel on our flight is hereby prohibited,” one airline wrote in a message to the passengers.

The only need, according to an airport official who spoke with our correspondent yesterday, is that users of Ghana Must Go sacs must wrap it in order to be accepted.
