On Thursday, the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Executive Committee (NEC) announced that Abdullahi Ganduje, a former governor of Kano State, will be serving as the party’s national chairman.
The party’s NEC also elected former Senate spokesman, Ajibola Basiru as National Secretary.
In attendance at the meeting include President Bola Tinubu, his Vice, Kashim Shettima, Senate President, Godwill Akpabio, Deputy Senate President, no fewer than 18 serving governors on the platform of the party, the National Working Committee (NWC) members among other stakeholders of the party.
Confirming the nominations and endorsement, the acting National Chairman, Abubakar Kyari said: “While you were aware, we nominated and endorsed Ganduje and Ajibola to act as chairman and secretary.”
