Just a few hours after the impeachment of Oyo state deputy governor, Mr. Rauf Olaniyan, by the state Parliament, it has approved a new replacement, Adebayo Lawal.
According to the reports, the Oyo State House of Assembly on Monday approved the appointment of Adebayo Lawal as the new Deputy Governor after receiving a letter from Governor Seyi Makinde seeking the Assembly’s approval of his nomination of Lawal as the deputy governor.
The letter was read by the Speaker of the Assembly, Honourable Adebo Ogundoyin.
