Bala Mohammed, the governor of Bauchi State and chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party Governors Forum, declared that the PDP governors had resolved the factional dispute that had been harming the National Working Committee of the party.
When reporters approached him at the Private Wing of Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Tuesday, he made this statement.
“The crisis is over,” said the PDP Governors Forum Chairman. The Board of Trustees, governors, and other bodies have decided that the NWC should return to its previous state. They are now one.
The governor declared that suspensions from both factions had been lifted while traveling to Ondo State for a PDP gubernatorial campaign rally with interim National Chairman Umar Damagum.
“The party is united, and no members of the NWC left before,” Damagum added in his remarks, confirming that the problem is over.
Details will be provided later.
