The Kano State government has accepted the renaming of the Kano State University of Science and Technology (KUST), Wudil.
This was approved at the last sitting of the state executive council, presided over by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.
Malam Muhammad Garba, kano commissioner of information said renaming the university after Africa’s richest man who is also its chancellor, followed the recommendation of the university’s visitation Panel.
The university has now been renamed Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUST), Wudil.
The approval has been transmitted to the state House of Assembly to study the relevant laws establishing the university for amendment.
