Despite conflicting perspectives on the outcome of the 2023 general elections, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) claimed that the overall perspective suggested a fair picture of a complicated multi-party democracy.

He noted that the purpose of the conference was to reflect on the recently concluded 2023 general election and that the time had come for introspection, stocktaking, assessment, and review.
