Manchester United and Chelsea agree on a £60 million fee for Mason Mount after four earlier bids were rejected.

Mason Mount has signed agreements with Manchester United and Chelsea to go to Old Trafford in a deal worth up to £60 million.

After United had three offers rejected by Chelsea, who initially requested £70 million for Mount, the two clubs reopened negotiations on Thursday and agreed on a fee of £55 million plus £5 million in add-ons.

The 24-year-old England international will have a physical next Wednesday before signing a five-year contract for £250,000 per week with a one-year extension option.

United were initially hesitant to overpay for a player in his final year of contract at Stamford Bridge.

He has been with Chelsea since he was six years old and has scored 33 goals in 195 games, winning the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and Club World Cup.
