Philip Tatari Shekwo, Chairman of the All Progressive Congress in Nasarawa State, was reportedly kidnapped last night and murdered.
According to reports, the unknown gunmen armed with weapons invaded the chairman’s residence around 11: pm on Saturday, November 21, opened fire at the gate, which forced the policeman guarding the house to take cover and then they went straight into Shekwolo’s bedroom and whisked him away to an unknown destination.
Confirming the incident, ASP Ramhan Nansel, spokesperson of the Nasarawa State Police Command stated that policemen were deployed immediatedly to the scene and engaged in a gun battle with the kidnappers but they got to escape with the victim(deceased)
