An American woman who goes by the name: Natalie White was arrested by the police as suspect for burning down the Atlanta Wendy’s fast-food restaurant where a young black American man, Rayshard Brooks was fatally gun down by police.
The Fulton County police shared surveillance footage of her inside a store, and issued an arrest warrant for her on June 20 and she was taken into custody on Tuesday June 23, by the fugitive unit. She’s been charged with first-degree arson.
Just a day after The young man was fun down by the police. Miss White’s lawyer, Drew Findling, said his client did not start the fire.
There were several questions surrounding the relationship between the dead man and the the woman, this is because he once mentioned her name during a police interrogations before he was killed.
Her lawyer was also asked if the two said persons knew each other and he said “Yes, but I will not comment on the extent of their relationship.”
But Lawyers for the young Rayshard ‘family said they were “unaware of any connection between Natalie White and him.
The young man was shot in the parking lot of a Wendy’s restaurant by a White Police officer in Atlanta after officers responded to a call about a man who was asleep in his car, obstructing the drive-thru lane.
It was reported that Rayshard failed a sobriety test, then resisted arrest and a struggle over a taser stem between three men. One of the officers, named Garret Rolfe, who fired twice to his back as he was escaping from the scene.
Medical report says he suffered from Organ damage and blood loss from two gunshot wound, resulting to his death.
