On Tuesday, the Vice President paid a condolence visit to the Tudun Yola Quarters Mosque in Kano to express his condolences for the passing of their Imam, Sheikh Ahmad Bamba Buk.
The Vice President was seen in the mosque, and one of the photos showed him wearing his shoes in the mosque.
This has sparked a Twitter debate. While some Muslims were offended by the Vice President’s decision to wear shoes in the mosque, others pointed out that it meant nothing and could not be considered sacrilege.
