Obasa Is Impeached By The Lagos Legislature, And Mojisola Meranda Is Elected As The First Female Speaker

Mojisola Meranda, an Apapa I representative, was later chosen by the parliamentarians to serve as the new speaker.

Meranda will become the first female speaker of the Lagos legislature after taking the oath of office right away.

Since 2015, 52-year-old Obasa has served as the speaker of the state assembly in Lagos.
