Five-month-old baby girl of NY firefighter dies of coronavirus as parents plan virtual funeral service following an outpouring of support
Five-month-old baby Jay-Natalie La Santa passed away from COVID-19 Monday.
She is the daughter of FDNY firefighter Jerel La Santa and Lindsey La Santa,She was nicknamed ‘Warrior Princess’ for ‘her fighting spirit’ in battling the virus.
A virtual funeral service will be held for Jay-Natalie on Facebook Live on May 2 following an outpouring of support from the community

Infant Jay-Natalie La Santa, the daughter of FDNY firefighter Jerel La Santa and his wife Lindsey, passed away from COVID-19 on Monday April 20.
‘One of the worst experiences as a parent is to go through the loss of a child,’ FDNY Hispanic Society president Jose A. Prosper sorrowfully announced in an Instagram post, noting that Jerel was the newest member to the Fire department and FDNY Hispanic Society.
