Sterling Bank And Uzor Arukwe Form A Partnership

Actor Uzor Arukwe made an unexpected appearance on Thursday to publicly support Sterling Bank’s recently introduced 0% digital bank charges policy, bringing the bank’s Adeola Odeku, Victoria Island, Lagos branch to life.

Arukwe launched two personal accounts using the bank’s OneBank platform, which provides digital banking services with no transfer costs, drawing a swarm of excited clients and supporters. This came after he had endorsed the initiative in a tweet that went viral.

“This is about putting people first,” the actor stated while speaking at the bank. This is revolutionary for small business owners and creatives like me. A bank merits our support if it is prepared to quit charging us for the simple act of moving our own funds.

The bank’s management team, which included Temitayo Adegoke, the Chief Operating Officer, and Obinna Ukachukwu, the Growth management of Consumer and Business Banking, welcomed Arukwe’s visit. Both officials emphasized the bank’s dedication to lowering Nigerians’ banking expenses.

“This is a complete reset, not just a tweak. You can invest, buy food, or pay for school with every Naira you save on bank fees. Ukachukwu stated, “We’re rethinking the role of banks in people’s lives.”
