The 97-year-old Ijaw leader passed away on Monday night.
Edwin Clark, a former Federal Commissioner for Information, passed away on Tuesday, according to his family.
According to a statement made by professor C. C. Clark on behalf of the family, Mr. Clark, a well-known figure in the Ijaw ethnic community, passed away on Monday.
The Ijaw leader was 97 years old, he said.
Mr. Clark oversaw the Pan Niger Delta Forum, a group of Niger Delta residents committed to advancing and cultivating regional security and interethnic harmony, until his passing.
