Tinubu sends Ministerial List to DSS and EFCC for Approval

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, the Department of State Services, and other security agencies are nearing the conclusion of their mandatory checks on the list of ministerial nominees that President Tinubu will submit to the National Assembly for approval.

With only 18 days till the deadline and having taken office on May 29, 2023, President Tinubu is anticipated to transmit the list to the National Assembly for approval at any time.

At a news conference last week, President Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Special Duties, Communications, and Strategy, Dele Alake, announced that the list of ministers would be released soon.

“The simple truth about the ministerial list is that this is an executive presidency.” We do not have a parliamentary system. So the President, the money stops on his table, and he determines when it’s appropriate for him to make his cabinet list.” Alake stated
