Traditionalist Fake Native Doctors Are To Blame For Anambra’s Insecurity.

Dr. Ramas Asuzu, a practitioner of traditional medicine, has urged the government of Anambra State to take action against impostor native physicians, claiming that they are primarily to blame for the state’s insecurity.

The new Anambra Homeland Security Law, which Soludo recently signed into law, intends to monitor the activities of native doctors by, among other things, requiring them to provide evidence of their wealth-making abilities and other claims of authority.

At a press conference in Nri, Anaocha Local Government Area, Asuzu responded to the law by stating that people do not realize that Igbo traditional medicine does not practice money rituals and that these charms typically draw human lives.

He claimed that the governor would be shocked to learn that there are far too many charming families in Anambra and that the system needed to be cleaned up.

The governor might not be aware that practically every home in Awka has oke ite (money ritual charms), he said. Everyone involved in cybercrime has oke ite, which isn’t supposed to be the case.

“Oke ite is a sinful act that is condemned by both heaven and earth; it is not traditional Igbo medicine.” People are unaware that every Oke ite contains human parts, and that any medication that uses human parts or is created to make a lot of money always results in fatalities. Even before the governor drafted this new law, I denounced it.

“I give thanks to God that we have a governor like Soludo.” Native doctors have been warned by me to cease these money rituals. I have been warning local doctors not to throw money around because it is unsightly and encourages criminal activity. As though I knew, I have been denouncing this and stating that the government will investigate the issue eventually. They should exercise caution because these individuals are abusing others.

He nevertheless warned against clamping down on real native doctors, and canvased the development of a traditional medicine practice board to sanitize the system.

“What I’m saying is that government is against using traditional medicine practice to aid evil, criminality, money ritual, killing people for money ritual and others.

“So I believe the first thing the governor will do is to inaugurate traditional medicine practice board to checkmate who is who in these practice. Most of these folks doing this things are bogus. They did not swear with ofo. I’m the Akaji Ofo Igbo and I know what I’m saying, I know everything about ofo, and if they took oath with ofo, they will not go about doing these things.

“Since 2001 when I came back to Anambra, I organized seminars on traditional medicine, I called various traditional herbal practitioners and held a seminar for them. In Lagos, I was a member of board of traditional medicine but when I arrived here, I realized that they are disunited. I summoned them together, but to my astonishment, the acknowledged herbal practitioners are neglected and riffraffs are contacted by government and without informing the legitimate practitioners.

“Native doctors have a law guiding them. Before you become a local doctor, you have to be sworn in with ofo, and you promise that you will not aid a thief, you will not do wicked medicine. This is something that I have been preaching against.

“I have a social media handle where I have been preaching against the one they call oke ite, I have been saying these for governor to take action, so now I’m happy that it seems like the governor heard what I’m talking about.”
