Two-storey building under construction has collapsed in one of the GSM markets in Kano State.
According to the reports, the building located on Beirut road, a busy area in the Kano metropolis collapsed at about 3:00 pm on Tuesday, August 30.
Several people are trapped in the building as of the time of filing this report.
A source said some of the people inside the building when it caved in could not be rescued because there was no available equipment.
It was gathered that voice of one of the trapped victims could be heard when he was on the phone.
Another eyewitness said, ” We just called his number and he is picking up calls. Only that there is no way for him to escape”.
Emergency workers had arrived at the scene on a rescue operation.
