President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to leave Abuja on Wednesday for the United Kingdom, where he will commence a two-week vacation.
The holiday constitutes “part of his annual leave,” as disclosed by Mr. Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, in a statement he issued on Wednesday.
The announcement bears the title ‘President Tinubu embarks on his annual leave.’
“He intends to utilize the two weeks as a productive retreat, engaging in contemplation regarding his administration’s economic reforms.”
“He shall return to the country upon the expiration of his leave,” the statement articulated in part.
Individuals with proximity to the President have verified to our correspondent that Tinubu is undertaking a two-week hiatus as a component of his annual leave.
The excursion on Wednesday follows a fortnight after the President’s return from London, where he engaged in discussions with King Charles III.
The United Kingdom marks Tinubu’s 27th international destination since he took office approximately 16 months prior, and it represents his fourth visit to this nation.
To date, his travels have encompassed Equatorial Guinea, London on four occasions, the United Kingdom twice, Bissau in Guinea-Bissau on two occasions, Nairobi in Kenya, Porto Novo in the Benin Republic, Pretoria in South Africa, Accra in Ghana, New Delhi in India, both Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, New York in the United States, Riyadh in Saudi Arabia on two occasions, Berlin in Germany, Addis Ababa in Ethiopia, Dakar in Senegal, and Doha in Qatar.
