Vector Attributes The Success Of My Songs To White Garment Church

Vector the Viper, a rapper, singer, and songwriter, has disclosed that his varied musical experience has been crucial to his ability to remain current in the business.

Vector attributed his distinctive sound to his Yoruba ancestry and early Christian education in a white garment church in an interview with Arise News.

He emphasized the value of musical variety and stated that each musician should have the freedom to express themselves however they see fit.

Each artist is free to associate music however they see fit. Let’s avoid categorizing everything. As a Yoruba boy, I was surrounded by words, proverbs, and wise sayings, and I have been honest in my music. These things serve as the foundation for your work. However, the White Garment Church also provided me with appropriate musical exposure. How can I box myself, then? That’s why I claim I’m only in the music business,” he remarked.

Additionally, Vector talked about his “Rap-frobeat” synthesis of Afrobeat and rap, which he says lets artists stay unique while trying out new genres.

“With Rap-frobeat, I came to the realization that most of what we say will always be defined by foreign intelligence, and even with Afrobeat, I have done some academic research on it, but from a musical perspective. However, he said, “Afrobeats is arguably the only musical genre in the recent past that can incorporate various musical styles while retaining its unique identity.”

He clarified that he created this genre to demonstrate to critics his gift for words and voice ability.

Indeed, there is Afrobeat, such as that performed by the renowned Fela, but modern artists have managed to blend it all together. I therefore created Rap-frobeat because I believe that, particularly for those of us who entered the rap scene, there is a misconception that, despite the fact that, in my opinion, Africans are gifted with words, rappers are incapable of singing.
