Martins Ortse, a social media activist who goes by VeryDarkMan, claimed on Monday that security officials had detained well-known crossdresser Idris Okuneye, commonly known as Bobrisky.
Bobrisky was caught at the Seme border, according to VeryDarkMan, while trying to flee to the Benin Republic in order to avoid the House of Representatives’ investigation hearing.
“Bobrisky has been arrested this morning at Seme border while trying to enter BENIN REPUBLIC to escape the current investigation by the house of reps, he is allegedly being held by the Nigeria immigration,” VDM, as he is known, stated in a video posted on his Instagram page.
An audio clip of Bobrisky reportedly bribing EFCC officials with N15 million was recently made public by VDM.
at the course of his interview, Bobrisky also asserted that his godfather’s influence prevented him from serving his six-month sentence at Kirikiri prison.
The House of Representatives held an investigative inquiry after the disclosure, however Bobrisky did not show up for the session, citing his illness.
