While talking about Obstetric Fistula, A Nigerian singer and mother of three, Di’ja has taken to her social media page to speak against child marriage, Condemning the practice, saying young girls should be allowed to grow up to 18yrs of age before getting them involved Marriage and sexual reproduction.
Di’ja, defines Child Marriage as a marriage of a young girl or boy who is not up to the age of 18 and she refers both as formal marriages and informal unions and this is very common in the northern region of Nigeria, where she comes from.
