A Russian military helicopter carrying four persons crashed this morning, Tuesday May 26, at an airport in the Eastern chukotka, Russia, killing everyone on board.
Governor Roman Kopin announced on Instagram saying “There were three crew members and one technician on board. All four died”
According to Russian agencies, the helicopter was a Mi-8 helicopter doing a test flight after a technical maintenance process.
“The reason for the accident could be a technical fault with the helicopter” a defence ministry said in a statement.
Military investigators have been dispatched to the site for proper evaluation of the situation.
