Governor Of Niger Approves The Appointment Of Garba Guna As The New Emir Of Kagara

Recall that the late Emir passed on March 1, 2021 and there was a need to provide a successor.

Following the suggestions from 14 Kingmakers in the Kagara Emirates, the Governor of Niger State, Governor Abubakar Sani Bello approved the appointment of Alhaji Ahmed Garba Guna as the new Emir of Kagara.

Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, on Wednesday on behalf of the Governor made the announcement of the appointment on behalf of the Governor saying that the approval was in connection with section 3 sub section (1) of the Chiefs (Appointment and Deposition) Law, Cap 19 of Niger State.

Prior to this appointment, Alhaji Ahmed Garba Guna was the Acting Chairman of the state Board of internal Revenue
