In order to allow for a thorough inquiry into Mr. AbdulRasheed Bawa’s conduct while in office, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered his indefinite suspension from his position as the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The suspension comes in response to serious allegations of abuse of office made against him, according to sources in the presidency.
President Tinubu has ordered Bawa to immediately turn over the management of his office to the Director of Operations of the Commission, who would be in charge of those matters until the investigation is over.
