Yoruba Nation activist Sunday Adeyemo, aka Sunday Igboho, has appealed to President Bola Tinubu to release the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.
In a trending video making the rounds on social media, Igboho said Kanu was just an agitator fighting for the Southeast region, just like himself, who is agitating for the Southwest.
“Release Nnamdi Kanu. Stop politics, this guy didn’t do anything. Today is February 27, 2024. Release him, let him go, and stay with his family. This guy just fights for his people in the southeast, like me. I am fighting for my people in Yoruba land, release him, let him go, stop the political game; release Kanu; let him go home; please release him.”
Kanu has been in DSS custody since July 2021, after he was repatriated to Nigeria by the federal government.
