Nigerian music star, Innocent Idibia (aka 2Baba) has described All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) governorship candidate, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, as a man of peace and a role model to Nigerian youths.
Idibia spoke in Awka, the state capital, when he visited Soludo in company of members of his “Vote Not Fight: Election No Be War” group and Catch Them Young Community Initiative (CATYCOI) team.
The popular musician said he was in Anambra State to tell the people to embrace peace and shun all forms of violence during the forthcoming election.
“I took up the initiative in order to educate and enlighten the Nigerian public, especially the youths, on the need to maintain peace and orderliness before, during and after elections.
“This is the only way to build a stronger and more united nation when the citizenry imbibe the culture of peace and tolerance during electioneering periods.” he said.
Soludo hailed 2Baba for preaching peace to Nigerians, reiterating that he had always been a harbinger of peace.
He said “The state has had relative peace for the past seven years under the dynamic administration of Governor Willie Obiano until the recent resurgence of what people have described as politically motivated killings,” .
Assuring 2Baba that Anambra State would remain peaceful and always live up to its creed as “The Light of the Nation,” the former CBN governor stressed that the forthcoming election would hold in a peaceful and orderly manner without violence.
