Unverified sources claim that the previous governor has now departed the governor’s lodge with Ahmed Ododo, the current governor of Kogi State.

Yahaya Bello, the former governor of Kogi State, was the target of an attempted arrest on Wednesday night by agents of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at the Kogi State Governor’s lodge located in the Asokoro District of the Federal Capital Territory.

As gunfire filled the air during the brawl, security personnel at the governor’s lodge did, however, encounter some resistance.

The entire area has been blocked off, and the only people allowed to move about it are EFCC agents and other security agency personnel who are stationed there.
