Martin Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, is a controversial social media critic who has been ordered by the Lagos State High Court to take down videos and comments that are derogatory of lawyer and human rights activist Femi Falana (SAN) and his son Folarin.
On Monday, Justice M. O. Dawodu gave the decision in case number ID/8584/GCM/2024.
He claimed that on September 24, 2024, VeryDarkMan posted on his social media sites, tying Bobrisky to Falz and his father, which was damaging to their reputation and libelous.
“The applicants (Falz and Falana) claim that the defendant (VeryDarkMan) knew these statements (Bobrisky’s claims) were false and untrue, but they still went ahead and published them to damage their reputation,” Dawodu said.
Additionally, as long as the magazine is up and running, the defendant’s (VeryDarkMan) reputation will continue to suffer from the defamatory remarks that are currently making the rounds on their various online platforms.
Details will be provided later.
