Insecurity: Uzodinma Vows To Release Names Of Sponsors In The State

Some of the suspects have confessed about those sponsoring them

On Saturday, Hope Uzodinma, Imo State Governor while addressing elected officials of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state vowed to release the names of those sponsoring insecurity in the State.

He added that 18 suspects arrested by security agencies have given evidence on the names of sponsors of insecurity in Imo.

He promised to reveal their identities on January 3, 2022, when he would be having a stakeholders’ meeting.

He said:

“All the people that were hired to kill our people, we have started picking all of them. As of now, we’ve picked 18 suspects. Some of them have confessed to those who are paying them.

“We have gotten the bank account from where they have been transferring money to them and we have the evidence. When I will address Imo stakeholders on January 3, I will call their names one by one,”

“Elected APC officials should consider it a rare privilege that they were elected by their people to serve them, hence they owe God a lot of gratitude. The opposition has been plotting so much evil against APC members and their leaders and encouraged the Party faithful to be at alert.

“My government will do all within its powers to ensure that Imo State is safe and that anyone working to destabilise the system or encouraging criminality, no matter how highly placed, would be made to face the full wrath of the law.”
