Just In: Court Jails Four For Cyber-Fraud In Enugu

The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), Enugu Zonal Command has, on Friday January 14, 2022 secured the conviction of four internet fraudsters in Enugu State.

They four suspects, identified as; Orji Okpara Chimaobi, Ngene Emmanuel Okechukwu Kelvin and Eneh Nelson Chukwudire were convicted of forgery and impersonation to defraud, before Justice F. O. Giwa Ogunbanjo of the Federal High Court Enugu, Enugu State.

Following credible information of the malicious act of defrauding unsuspecting victims of their hard-earned money, within Enugu and it’s environs, operatives of the EFCC swung into action and in the process arrested the convicts at various locations within the metropolis.

 However, they discover so many items include phones, laptops including the fraudulent messages printed out of their phones and laptops as well as their confessional statements were tendered and admitted in evidence by the court.
