The State Counsel, Mrs O.T. Akeredolu, who led the prosecution team from the office of the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), told the court that the accused persons committed the offence on November 26, 2020, at Owena-Akure road, Ondo.

She told the court that the accused persons conspired with others still at large to abduct Mrs Ake and also robbed one Ayeloja Olalekan of his Itel phone.

The offences, she said, contravened section 530 of the Criminal Code Cap 37 Vol I Laws of Ondo State, Nigeria, 2006.

Akeredolu said the accused persons intentionally committed the offences not minding the consequences.
