Musk Gives Trump’s Presidential Campaign Close To $75 Million

According to documents filed late Tuesday, billionaire Elon Musk has contributed about $75 million to the political action committee he established to aid Donald Trump’s US presidential campaign. This shows the Tesla founder’s increasing support for the Republican Party.

Considered the richest man in the world, Musk has been more involved in Trump’s campaign, joining him on stage at a recent event in Pennsylvania and often attacking his opponent, Democrat Kamala Harris, on social media.

At rallies, Trump frequently brings up Musk, and he has pledged to include him on a committee that will reduce federal red tape.

Trump and Harris are locked in a close contest for the White House, according to surveys.

Between July 1 and September 30, Musk’s America PAC raised $74.95 million for Trump’s campaign, according to Federal Election Commission (FEC) reports.

In areas like Pennsylvania that might decide the outcome of the election, the PAC has concentrated on grassroots get-out-the-vote campaigns.

America PAC advertises on its website that volunteers can help increase voter participation for “$30 per hour, with bonuses for performance.”

Musk had previously promised to pay $47 to anyone who could get a swing-state voter who is registered to vote to sign a petition in favor of free speech and the right to bear arms.

Following the Republican’s survival of an assassination attempt in July, the billionaire gave Trump his support.

According to its FEC filing, Harris’ main political action committee, the Harris Victory Fund, raised $633 million during the same reporting period.

After incumbent Joe Biden withdrew from the presidential race after a dismal debate performance against Trump in July, Harris abruptly entered the contest.

Since then, the current vice president has galvanized the party’s supporters and initiated a nationwide campaign, concentrating on battleground states.

According to the filing, her political action committee has received $931.2 million so far this year, which is close to $1 billion.
