On Wednesday evening, the Federal Government revisited the issue of the missing Chibok girls stating that no one has given up hope on them since their abduction at Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok, Borno state.
According to a statement from the Presidency through the Media Assistant to the President, Garba Shehu, the Presidency said that the girls may regain their freedom soonest as everyone is at work to ensure their freedom.
“No one is giving up hope here. Efforts to secure their release through various channels and activities of the security and intelligence agencies remain on course. The recent decisive push by the military against the terrorists gives hope that a breakthrough is possible and could happen anytime soon”.
