BBnaija Shine Ya Eye second runner up, Pere firmly believes Maria would always be just a friend to him even after spending a total of five weeks with her on the show.
According to the reports, Pere Pere said though Maria is a likeable person, she would always remain a friend to him.
He said “Maria is a very likeable person, there’s nothing not to like about Maria. She’s intelligent, she’s smart, those are some of the things I noticed about her once she stepped into the house.
“Maria would always be a friend, you know, people have disagreements every now and then and people do things that people don’t like.
“If you find out that a person does something to you and you don’t like, you express it and that person sincerely apologises, it’s courteous to do that, so yeah, we are friends, she’s a friend and would always be,” he said.
Reaffirming his resolve not to be more than friends or get intimate with Maria, Pere said: “I don’t intend to push further than being friends with her, I have a girlfriend.
