Lagos state government has sealed the popular prest Club in lekki for noise pollution.
Commissioner for Environment,Tunji Bello warn bars, clubs and lounges in the state to stop loud music.
Bello issued a statement on sunday after enforcement raids were carried out in lekki based on the resident’s complaints.
He said officers of the Lagos state Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) were sent to prest Jazz Club on Admiralty way. he said that when they got there many giant speakers and musical instruments blaring loudly.
According to the statement he added ” No organisation will be will be treated as scared cow in the latest campaign because research has shown that noise pollution is one of the causative factors for reducing lifespan”.
