Obi Leads The LP Candidate For Governor Of Ondo And Says It’s Time To Rebuild The State

In Akure, the capital of Ondo State, Peter Obi, the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, led a campaign rally for Chief Sola Ebiseeni, the party’s governorship candidate. The event was held before the November 16 election in Ondo State. Along with Ebiseeni and his running mate, Mr. Dayo Awude, Obi went on a road show to get people in Ondo to support the LP candidate and encourage them to vote for change and progress.

In his speech, Obi stressed that it was time for Ondo State to start over, focused on leadership that would put jobs, education, and infrastructure first. He didn’t like how politicians only talk to voters every four years during election seasons. Instead, he promised that the LP would provide steady and transformative leadership. While Obi was talking about local politics, he also said that he thought Nigeria was at a crossroads, facing problems with democracy and bad leadership. Despite this, he stayed positive and said that the current race was a chance to start rebuilding the country.

Obi said again that he wants to see a new Nigeria where everyone has the same chances, no matter where they come from, and where education and health care services work well. He wanted to get rid of corruption and the use of stolen money. He told voters to break out of the cycle of corruption and accept a future based on work and making things. “Stop stealing and start rebuilding,” Obi said, emphasizing that the goal should be to build a strong economy through production rather than just consuming.

The Labour Party candidate also used the chance to talk about vote-buying and urge people in Ondo to reject all kinds of cheating in the election. The money used to buy votes is usually stolen from the people, he said, and he warned that taking such offers only keeps the circle of theft and corruption going in the political system.

Ebiseeni, on the other hand, said he was sure the Labour Party would win the next election because it is well-liked in Ondo State. He told the crowd that the LP had been in charge of the state from 2009 to 2017 and that their programs and projects could be seen all over the state. According to Ebiseeni, the Labour Party is the most popular party in Ondo State because its work can be seen to have an effect. He said that many of the state’s current infrastructure projects used orange, which is the LP’s signature color, and that he wore orange himself to show his support for the party’s cause.

At the end of his speech, Ebiseeni emphasized how important Obi’s visit was, saying that the party’s dedication to Ondo’s future was shown by the candidate’s appearance. He told the crowd that the LP was ready to take the state to new heights with the help of a movement that was growing and becoming more united.

The rally and campaign themes are part of the Labour Party’s larger plan to show that it is a party that can bring about change in Ondo State. They promise open, responsible, and people-centered leadership. There are only a few days left until the election, and both Obi and Ebiseeni have asked people to vote peacefully and fairly. Many Nigerians are looking for alternatives to the way things are now, so the message that they should reject corruption and look forward to a future full of opportunities and growth hits home.
