Osimhen Arrives At Super Eagles Camp Prepared To Compete In AFCON Qualifiers In 2025

Victor Osimhen, who recently signed with Galatasaray, has returned to the Super Eagles training camp in advance of their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Rwanda and Benin Republic.

Three days after facing Rwanda in Kigali, the Nigerian national team—now led by Augustine Eguavoen in an acting capacity—will play the Cheetahs in Uyo to begin their qualifications.

Onyebuchi Onokala, a Nigerian journalist, claims that the attacker for the Super Eagles is totally healthy and prepared to contribute to the team.

His season-long loan move from Napoli to Galatasaray is finalized, and he is back at camp after a drawn-out transfer saga involving the striker, his club, and his agent.

There are now 22 players in camp, including goalkeeper Maduka Okoye of Udinese and forward Kelechi Iheanacho of Sevilla.

Osimhen only arrived a few hours ago, and Onokala, better known as Buchi Laba, affirmed that he is in excellent shape for Nigeria’s important qualification matches.

The team’s assault should be greatly strengthened by his arrival as they look to qualify for the continental tournament.

Whether the Super Eagles forward can play for the Eguavoen-led team on Saturday is still up in the air, but his presence is a positive for the group.
