A seven-storey building under construction has collapsed inside Banana Island, Lagos State.
It was gathered that the incident happened on Wednesday afternoon, April 12, while concreting was ongoing on the sixth floor.
A statement by NEMA said workers are trapped in the building and its officials are mobilizing the response team to rescue the trapped victims.
Photos from the scene of the collapse show people standing around the ruins of the building, trying to help those trapped in the rubble.
Many workers were trapped and others were seen as injured.
