A man, identified as Quentin, surprised his girlfriend of seven years with a fairytale engagement as he popped the ‘Will You Marry Me’ question in front of Hollywood’s A-Listers at a special event held by singer Adele.
The unsuspecting bride to be, named as Ashley, was brought on stage during Adele’s CBS Special ”Adele One Night Only”.
Ashley received the biggest surprise as A-List stars like Leonardo DiCaprio, Lizzo, Gabrielle Union, Gordon Ramsey, Melissa McCarthy and Ellen DeGeneres were all present when Quentin went down on one knee and proposed to her.
Ashley said she had no idea her boyfriend was taking her to the concert. She assumed they were going for a picnic while she was brought on stage in a blindfold.
“I need every person to be really quiet, alright? If you make a noise, I’m going to kill you,” Adele told her audience before Quentin guided Ashley, who was blindfolded, to the stage.
When Ashley removed her blindfold, she was shocked to see the audience in front of her and Quentin on his knees.
Quentin then gave an emotional speech, which had his fiancée in tears.
“Listen, I want to say thank you. I want to thank you for being so patient with me.
“I’m extremely proud of you – and I mean – everyday, you blow my mind. There is absolutely nothing that you cannot do and I just know you are going to be an amazing mother to our kids one day, and I love you. I love you, I love you, I love you and will continue to love you forever.” he said.
Ashley asked Quentin “Who are these people?”.
“Thank God you didn’t let me eat, I would’ve thrown up,” Ashley added, making the celebrity crowd burst out laughing.
Quentin then asked the most anticipated question of the evening. “Will you marry me?”.
When Ashley said yes, the crowd stood up and cheered the lovely couple, as piano notes of ”Make You Feel My Love’ started playing and Adele emerged from the stage and casually greeted Ashley.
Ashley, who did not know that the singer was hiding behind the deemed lights off the stage, could not hide her shock at seeing Adele.
“Hello, Ashley. Hi Quentin, you alright?” Adele said.
She then asked the newly engaged to take the seats in the front row as she prepared to perform “Make You Feel My Love” for them.
“Thank God she said yes because I didn’t know who I was going to have to sing this song to, you or him. Oh my gGd. Look at her, she’s so in shock,” Adele said as actress Melissa McCarthy offered champagne to Ashley.
