Nigerians And Other African Migrants Arrested In Libya As Police Raid House Allegedly Used For Prostitution

Nineteen African migrants including Nigerian nationals were arrested by police over alleged involvement in prostitution in Benghazi, Libya.

On Saturday, April 29, 2023, the undocumented migrants, seven men, and eight women were arrested when police raided an apartment in a three-storey building on Mahdawi Street.

The reports read, “Police in Benghazi raided a house rented by Nigerian migrants and used for prostitution. During the operation, 19 undocumented migrants (male 7 & female 12) of different nationalities were arrested. All transferred to the Benghazi Security Directorate for legal action.”
