Residents Of The Federal Capital Territory In Great Discomfort As Water Scarcity Hits The Town

Due to the ongoing works on the trunk line at the Lower Usuma Dam water treatment plant 3 and 4, Ushafa, there has been a shortage of water supply to the residents of the Federal Capital Territory.

With the shortage of water, Residents of Ushafa, Kubwa, Dutsen Alhaji, Area one, Garki and Durumi are seen struggling to get the basic commodity for domestic use.

The plan to do repairs by the FCT Management Board was earlier announced in a public notice on social media which read:

“The management of FCT Water Board thanks residents of the FCT for their continued patience while repair works on the trunk line at the Lower Usuma Dam Water Treatment plant 3 and 4 is ongoing.

“Please, be rest assured that our engineers are working tirelessly to restore normal supply. Meanwhile, residents in need of water may please contact the area managers within their districts for supplementary water supply via water tankers.”

Reacting to this, some residents had a few things to say, Isah Henry complained about the only source of water they had, which is from the stream and its not portable for consumption.
