A video of the encounter between veteran actress Patience Ozokwo, often known as Mama G, and former First Lady of Nigeria Patience Jonathan was recently published online.
In the video, which she shared on her Instagram page on Sunday, Ozokwo is seen kneeling to welcome Jonathan as she approaches, and the two women then give each other a warm embrace.
Netizens’ opinions to the deed have been divided; some have pointed out that the women’s ages differ.
#isi_lisa commented, saying, “But mama G senior this woman well well na.” on her post. Former First Lady is 58 years old, Mama G is 66.
Others, on the other hand, supported Ozokwo’s action and emphasized the value of treating others with respect.
#lenycute01 retorted, “She is just giving her honor,” while #gochy_glam added, “Isn’t that enough? She was once a First Lady.”
Noting, “What a humble first lady she returned the respect to you by standing up to receive you,” #lumiwizzo also commended Jonathan’s humility.
Ozokwo expressed how much she adored Jonathan in her caption. “Dame Jonathan Patience. You are cherished. I’m grateful,” she wrote.
